BIO

I'm a communications leader who helps executives and their organizations navigate their most critical moments with clarity and purpose.

Most recently, I led internal and executive communications at Point72 Ventures, advising the Managing Partner and its portfolio of founders on communications strategy. Before that, I was VP of Global Communications at Rokt, a founder-led ecommerce startup, where I built the company’s first communications function from the ground up and readied the company for public markets. At Compass, I led communications, events, and social impact, and helped take the company public in 2021. I spent nine years at Google, most recently leading executive communications for the company’s VP of Corporate Engineering, after earlier roles in employee communications and public policy. I began my career on Capitol Hill as a staffer for the House Energy & Commerce Committee.

Through Hello Sarah, I've partnered with companies like Pinterest, Hyatt, Eaton, and Cargill on internal communications strategy, executive positioning, and organizational change.

APPROACH

Good communication comes down to clarity, honesty, and timing.

People can handle almost any change if they understand why it’s happening and what it means for them. That’s where most communications fail, and it’s where I start. Every engagement begins the same way: I get to know the person in front of me and what they need to succeed.

I’ve worked across startups, Big Tech, venture capital, and government, so I’ve seen how organizations work and break at every scale. The work I love most is the highest-stakes kind, where the org chart is changing or the company is going public and every word gets read closely.

Announcing a re-org?

Going public?

Building a comms function from scratch?

Let's figure it out together.
